• Ride on West Somerset Railway’s steam engine through the beautiful Exmoor and Somerset countryside, from Bishop’s Lydeard to Minehead

During the summer, take a boat trip. You will be able to appreciate the impressive coastline from

a different angle and may even spot a seal or dolphins

Alternatively, just sit back and enjoy the wildlife at beauty spots such as Watersmeet, Hurlestone

Point or Heddon Valley, to name but a few. Keep your eyes open for kingfishers, dippers, otters,

Exmoor ponies, red deer and abundance of other species

Snowdrop Valley at Wheddon Cross in February, Exmoor’s Dark Skies Festival in October, Dunster by Candlelight in December - just three of the many different special things happening in Exmoor National Park throughout the year.

Active and sporting events include the Golden Horseshoe endurance horse ride and several cycling challenges such as the Exmoor Explorer and the Exmoor Beast. We advise you to book your accommodation at Exmoor House early.
